New Northbound Documentation Process:
Effective September 18th, 2008
Dear Valued Customer:
Our San Juan Terminal is changing our northbound documentation process in order to reduce turn times, improve safety, security, and the overall service levels within the terminal.
To ensure a smooth transition, customers may begin following the new process now prior to the effective date on Thursday, September 18th, 2008. The process is outlined below:
1) All documentation (shipping instructions) used to prepare your invoice should be either faxed or emailed to Horizon Lines Documentation Department at: 888-481-4780 or SJUdoc@HorizonLines.com.
(Shipping instructions should include booking number, ITN number/exemption statement, container numbers, shipper name, commodity description, etc. SEDs/ITN numbers should be submitted in
accordance with the Horizon Lines cutoff times.) Please ensure that booking weights are accurate for vessel loading purposes.
2) Documentation for all Hazardous and Refrigerated containers must be faxed in advance of container arrival to the port at: 787-620-6676. To prevent delays in the Hazardous/Reefer receiving process, please ensure the documentation and booking information is accurate and
complete. Please note that U.S. Census will no longer accept SEDs filed via paper. For more information regarding export regulations please visit the following U.S. Census website for seminar schedules:
