PUERTO RICO SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Bunker Fuel Surcharge – Effective October 19th, 2008

Dear Valued Customer:

Horizon Lines has been closely monitoring the bunker fuel markets over the last month and is adjusting the Bunker Surcharge in accordance with recent trends.

For containers being loaded or discharged in Jacksonville, FL or Port Everglades, FL a bunker surcharge of $600 per container will be in effect starting October 19th, 2008.

For containers being loaded or discharged in Elizabeth, NJ a bunker surcharge of $655 per container will be in effect starting October 19th, 2008.

For containers being loaded or discharged in Houston, TX a bunker surcharge of $690 per container will be in effect starting October 19th, 2008.

We will continue to monitor fuel prices and will announce any changes to next month’s Bunker Surcharges on Friday, November 14th.
