Bunker Fuel Surcharge – Effective February 15, 2009

Dear Valued Customer:

Horizon Lines has been closely monitoring the bunker fuel markets over the last month and is adjusting the Bunker Surcharge in accordance with recent trends.

For containers being loaded or discharged in Jacksonville, FL or Port Everglades, FL a bunker surcharge of $325 per container will be in effect starting February 15, 2009.

For containers being loaded or discharged in Elizabeth, NJ a bunker surcharge of $415 per container will be in effect starting February 15, 2009.

For containers being loaded or discharged in Houston, TX a bunker surcharge of $455 per container will be in effect starting February 15, 2009.

We will continue to monitor fuel prices and will announce any changes to next month’s Bunker Surcharges on Friday, March 13th.
