Puerto Rico Strike
Effective October 15, 2009

To our valued customers:

In preparation for a general strike that has been announced to take place Thursday, October 15, 2009, our Isla Grande Terminal asks that cargo for Pennsauken, NJ and the Virgin Islands be delivered by Wednesday, October 14th, to avoid any problems. The Terminal will remain open on Thursday, October 15th, working only one vessel, El Conquistador, V99. The La Reina, V100, will be pushed to Friday, October 16th and work alongside the Jacksonville, V101. Operations should be back to normal on Friday.

We believe the strike will affect the ability of truckers to enter our terminal. Although our union (Teamsters) does not endorse this strike, they will not cross any strike lines.
